The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rainfall over Assam, Meghalaya, Bihar, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim today.
The weather agency has predicted heavy rainfall conditions at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, East Uttar Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, and Himachal Pradesh today.
Similar weather conditions are expected over Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Jharkhand, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Odisha, Punjab and Uttarakhand during the day.
In Delhi, IMD has forecast a partly cloudy sky with strong surface winds today.
According to the IMD, Maximum temperature is expected to hover around 36 to 38 degree Celsius, while the minimum temperature will be around 28.3 degree Celsius in the city.
