Union Minister for Women and Child Development, Annpurna Devi, during her three-day visit to Tripura, interacted with women corporators of the Agartala Municipal Corporation and members of local women self-help groups.
She emphasized the pivotal role of women in transforming Tripura into a model state and realizing the vision of a Viksit Bharat by 2047. Speaking at the BJP state headquarters, she stressed the importance of improving Anganwadi centers and successfully implementing the Poshan Abhiyaan.
Highlighting the central government’s commitment to the region, the Minister noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has visited the Northeast more than fifty times in the last twelve years to drive its development.
She urged women leaders and representatives to actively ensure that the central government’s public welfare schemes reach every citizen.
