In Andhra Pradesh, Meteorological Centre Amaravati has forecast light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms at isolated places in several districts of the state tomorrow due to a cyclonic circulation over North Telangana and adjoining areas.
It said North Andhra districts Kakinada, Konaseema, East Godavari, West Godavari, Eluru, Krishna and NTR districts are likely to receive light-to-moderate rainfall with lightning. Light rain is also expected at a few places in the remaining districts.
The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) has advised people not to take shelter under trees or near large hoardings during thunderstorms.
It has also cautioned the public to stay away from snapped power lines. Farmers, agricultural labourers and cattle rearers have been advised to move to safe places immediately if the sky turns cloudy and thunder is heard.
