Mizoram achieves over 95.53% digitisation of voter Enumeration Forms.

Mizoram has completed the digitisation of 95.53 per cent of Enumeration Forms (EFs) of 8.75 lakh voters, moving ahead of other states in the ongoing nationwide Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.

State Joint Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Ethel Rothangpuii said that EFs for over 8.35 lakh voters in the state have been digitised till Yesterday.

She said 11 districts of the state, including Champhai, Serchhip and Khawzawl districts, have achieved 100 per cent digitisation, while southern Siaha district and Saitual district completed 99.92 per cent and 99.76 per cent digitisation, respectively.

Aizawl district has recorded the lowest rate of digitisation at 90.75 per cent. The SIR was launched in Mizoram on 20th of last month. The enumeration phase is scheduled to be completed on June 28.

Meanwhile, the Election Commission has revised the date for publication of draft roll for Mizoram from the previous 5 July to 4 July following request by the state Chief Electoral Officer (CEO). The period for filing claims and objections has also been rescheduled till 4 August.
