Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla has flagged off the ‘Sundays on Cycle’ program to mark the World Cycle Rally today at Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad. The cycle rally was organized by the Telangana Sports Authority.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said that cycling plays a very crucial role in protecting the environment and promoting a healthy lifestyle, inspired by the Fit India initiative of the Government of India.
He stated that cycling is an excellent way to reduce pollution and traffic congestion and to build sustainable cities. He called upon people to make cycling a habit in their daily lives.
State Ministers Duddilla Sridhar Babu and Vakiti Srihari, along with Sports Advisor Jitender Reddy, a large number of youth, sportspersons, and cycling enthusiasts participated enthusiastically in this massive rally.
