Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate and lay foundation stone of 16 National Highways Projects at an event at Imphal in Manipur today.
The Union Minister will reach Imphal today. Several dignitaries including Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy, VK Singh and Dr. Rajkumar Ranjan along with Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh are likely to attend the event.
The estimated cost of the 16 National Highway Projects is 4148 crore rupees and have a total length of 298 Kilometers.
Among the National Highway Project to be inaugurated today is the Makru RCC Steel Superstructure Bridge constructed along the National Highways 37 (Imphal-Jiribam Road) which has become the lifeline of Manipur.
