BJP criticises Rahul Gandhi for his remarks against Assam CM.

The BJP today criticized the Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his reportedly remarks against Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma. Talking to media in New Delhi, BJP Spokeperson Syed Zafar Islam said that Mr Sarma became the Chief Minister because of the people’s mandate.

He said, people appreciate the governance model of the BJP wherever it is in power and alleged that the Rahul Model has failed in the Congress-ruled States like Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana.

“What is the guarantee that Rahul Gandhi will not be jailed before I am?” Sarma asked, adding that such comments were unbecoming of a national leader.

Gandhi, addressing a gathering of party workers at Chaygaon near Guwahati on Wednesday, alleged that Sarma and his family would be held accountable for corruption, stating that the people of Assam would ensure the chief minister was sent to jail.
