The last rites of BSF Sub-Inspector Mohammad Imtiyaz, a resident of Bihar who was martyred while on duty at his post in RS Pura in Jammu during recent firing by Pakistan, were performed with full police honours today.
The burial was held at a cemetery in the native village Narayanpur in Garkha, in Saran district of the martyred officer.
Earlier, upon the arrival of the martyr’s mortal remains at Patna airport from New Delhi, state ministers Shrawan Kumar and Nitin Naveen, along with several other dignitaries, paid their tribute.
In Narayanpur village, DIG of Saran Range Nilesh Kumar, District Magistrate of Saran Aman Sameer, and Superintendent of Police Kumar Ashish, along with many others, offered floral tributes.
