The National Stock Exchange of India (NSE) has extended its condolences and support to the victims of the tragic terror attack that occurred in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on 22nd April 2025.
In response to the tragedy, NSE has pledged 1 crore rupees in aid, offering 4 lakh rupees each to the families of those who lost their lives. NSE emphasized its commitment to standing with the nation during this time of grief and crisis.
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic terrorist attack in Kashmir… NSE pledges Rs 1 crore to the next of kin of the victims, standing in solidarity with their families during this difficult time,” NSE CEO Ashish Chauhan said in a post on X.
The attack took place in Baisaran, a tourist spot near Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir often referred to as ‘Mini Switzerland’. Among the deceased was a businessman from Karnataka, and several tourists were left injured.
In a separate gesture, Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani confirmed that injured victims would receive free medical treatment at Reliance Foundation’s Sir HN Hospital in Mumbai. “We wish a speedy and full recovery to all those injured in the attack,” ANI quoted Ambani as saying. Authorities are continuing investigations into the attack, which has drawn strong condemnation from across the country.
