World Homeopathy Day is being observed across the globe today. Homeopathy is the world’s second-largest medical system. It offers a holistic approach to health care, attracting millions of people worldwide for its natural, non-invasive methods. According to the Ayush Ministry, over 100 million people in the country trust homoeopathy for their health needs.
Currently, there are three lakh 45 thousand registered homeopathic doctors, 277 hospitals, over eight thousand dispensaries and 277 educational institutions in the country. These institutions play a vital role in shaping the future of homeopathic practice, producing thousands of skilled professionals every year.
More than 35 research centres under the Central Council for Research in Homeopathy promote evidence-based homeopathy. Celebrations like World Homoeopathy Day are a reminder of the country’s commitment to safe, evidence-based, and affordable healing.
The theme for World Homoeopathy Day 2025 is ‘Adhyayan, Adhyaapan, Anusandhaan‘ meaning ‘Education, Practice and Research’. The theme highlights the three foundational pillars for the growth of Homeopathy.
Homeopathy is a system of alternative medicine that uses small, highly diluted doses of natural substances to trigger the bodies own healing abilities.
During the week, there are free public events held across the world, such as lectures, media interviews and free and reduced-price clinics. Information and testimonials about the use of homeopathy will also be shared on social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter as well as in the mainstream media.
The primary goals of World Homeopathy Awareness Week are to raise public awareness of homoeopathy and improve accessibility to homeopathy.
The World Homeopathy Awareness Organisation is a not for profit organisation, run by volunteers.
