Sensex-Nifty End 4-Day Losing Streak.

Benchmark domestic equity indices today ended with modest gains, snapping their four-day losing streak. The broader market indices at BSE recovered from yesterday’s sell-off. The Mid-Cap index surged over 2.1 percent, and the Small-Cap index advanced nearly 1.7 percent.

The 30-share index at the Bombay Stock Exchange, Sensex, gained 170 points to close at 76,500. Similarly, the National Stock Exchange Nifty-50 added 90 points to settle at 23,176.

In the Forex market, the rupee today fell by five paise to settle at 86 rupees and 63 paise against the US dollar. In the Indian Bullion Market, 24 Karat Gold was trading at 78,500 rupees per 10 grams, while Silver 999 Fine was trading at 90,600 rupees per kilogram, a short while ago.

Brent Crude was trading at 80 dollars and 75 cents per barrel. WTI Crude was trading at around 78 dollars and 56 cents per barrel, according to the latest reports
