Union Minister Manohar Lal reviews various Power and Urban affairs projects being implemented in Kerala.

Union Minister for Power, Housing and Urban Affairs Manohar Lal who is on a visit to Kerala, on Sunday, chaired a review meeting on various Power and Urban affairs projects being implemented in the state. The Meeting, held at Thiruvananthapuram was attended by Union Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas, Suresh Gopi, State Minister for Electricity, K Krishnankutty and several senior officials.

The Review meeting evaluated various initiatives being implemented in power and urban affairs sectors in the state. Mr. Manohar Lal posted on social media platform X that key deliberations on energy, included boosting hydro projects & energy storage with viability gap funding, strengthening NTPC PPAs & optimizing HVDC systems, were held at the Review meeting. T

he progress of the Central Government’s various flagship schemes, which include PMAY-U 2.0, AMRUT, SBM 2.0, & accelerating electric bus deployment were discussed. Later in the day Mr. Manohar Lal also met Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.

The Union Minister will visit Kochi tomorrow and will review the functioning of water metro services.
