The 55th GST Council meeting concluded in Jaisalmer in Rajasthan under the chairmanship of Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.
Chief Ministers of Goa, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir, Meghalaya and Odisha, Deputy Chief Ministers of Arunachal Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana and Finance Ministers from the States and Union Territories participated in the meeting.
Several important issues were discussed related to GST and Tax slab in the meeting.
The proposal to reduce Goods and Services Tax (GST) on delivery charges for food ordered through e-commerce platforms has been deferred.
There were differences of views on the insurance sector Group of Ministers (GoM) report, hence decision deferred to be taken up in next meeting.
