100th Tansen Music Festival Sets Guinness World Record with 9 Instruments Played by 536 Artists in Gwalior.

To make the 100th celebration of the Tansen Music Festival memorable, a Guinness Book of World Record was created by playing 9 musical instruments simultaneously for 9 minutes in the music city of Gwalior in MP today.

536 male and female artists from Madhya Pradesh and the country participated in this presentation.

A musical tribute was paid to the king of voices, Tansen, through a collective presentation. The presentation included three ragas composed by Tansen: Malhar,Miyan ki Todi and Darbari Kanhra.

This presentation was coordinated by the famous flute player Pandit Ronu Majumdar. The group presentation included 9 musical instruments as well as vocals. The musical instruments included tabla, flute, violin, santoor, sarod, sarangi, sitar, banjo, and harmonium.

Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, and Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar were also present in the program. Tansen Samaroh is organised by the Culture Department of Madhya Pradesh.
