In Jammu & Kashmir, a gunfight is going on between terrorists and security forces in the forest area in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Army’s Chinar Corps spokesperson confirmed on “X” that a joint operation was launched by Army, J&K Police and CRPF in general forest area of Chuntawadi Kaitsan in the district.
The spokesperson said that based on specific inputs about the presence of terrorists, the security forces reached the suspected spot in the dense woods.
The hiding terrorists opened fire leading to gunfight. The operation is in progres, the Army spokesperson added. Further details are awaited.
