Tamil Nadu CM reviews state’s preparedness amid severe rainfall alert.

In view of the extremely heavy rain alert for the four districts in North Tamil Nadu till the 17th of this month, Chief Minister M.K.Stalin today reviewed the preparedness in the state.

The review meeting was attended by the Deputy Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, other top officials and the district Collectors.

The Regional Met Department has predicted unprecedented heavy rains from today till the 17th because of the low pressure in the Bay of Bengal which is likely to cause landfall between South Andhra and North Tamil Nadu.

Meanwhile, the trough of low pressure which has been formed in the Southeast of the Bay of Bengal continues to remain static. The trough is expected to move westwards and northwestwards towards the Coast of North Tamil Nadu in the ensuing days.
