In Kerala, the IMD today issued an Orange alert in Idukki, Malappuram, Kozhikode and Wayanad districts, indicating the possibility of very heavy rainfall. Isolated heavy rain is likely in four other districts.
The Met Department indicated that rains will further intensify during the days ahead.
Tomorrow, an orange alert has been issued in Malappuram and Kannur districts.
On Wednesday, an Orange alert was issued in five districts, while on Thursday, a similar alert was in place in nine districts.
