Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) Chief Uddhav Thackeray asserted that he is fighting against pseudo-Hindus and fake ‘Gorakshaks’. Addressing the traditional Dasara Melava at Shivaji Park in Dadar, Mr Thackeray launched a scathing attack on the ruling Mahayuti government in the state and the BJP Government at the centre. Targeting the BJP, Mr Thackeray stated that the party aims to eliminate all other parties in the country to gain sole control.
Hitting out at the BJP and its allies, Mr Thackeray said that they have been using Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj merely for political gains and do not follow his true ideology.
He further said that, unlike the BJP, his Hindutva prioritises the protection of women in the state over the protection of cows. He criticised the BJP for welcoming corrupt individuals from other parties and also targeted the government over reservation issues.
Addressing Dasara Melava for the first time, Yuva Sena President Aditya Thackeray expressed confidence that the Maha Vikas Aghadi will come to power in the upcoming elections.
