Typhoon Yagi. India Sends Humanitarian Assistance To Cambodia And Vietnam Amid Severe Flooding.

India has sent humanitarian assistance to Cambodia and Vietnam in the wake of severe flooding caused by Typhoon Yagi. Indian Air Force has deployed its C 17 Globemaster aircraft to provide Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief, HADR operations.

Thirty-five tons of aid comprising of water purification items, water containers, blankets, kitchen utensils, solar lanterns have been sent to Vietnam.

Meanwhile, ten tons of aid comprising genset, water purification items, hygiene supplies, mosquito nets, blankets and sleeping bags have been sent to Cambodia.

Swift and efficient loading and coordination was carried out by C-17 team at Hindan Air Force Station. C 17 Globemaster aircraft are known for their large cargo capacity and long-range capabilities. These are typically used to transport relief materials, essential supplies, and personnel to disaster-affected areas.
