The IMD has issued an orange alert for the Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra regions, and a yellow alert for the Marathwada region, from July 17th to July 21st, 2024, for the next five days. The IMD forecasts that during this period, Konkan and Madhya Maharashtra are expected to experience heavy to extremely heavy rainfall accompanied by strong surface winds.
Marathwada, under the yellow alert, may experience thunderstorms and lightning squalls. Since yesterday morning, there has been no significant rainfall recorded in Mumbai and its surrounding areas.
