Punjab Gets Its First Plant Clinic & Soil Testing Laboratory In Moga.

In Punjab, the first plant clinic and soil testing laboratory of the state has been established in Moga, with a grant from the NITI Aayog.The clinic will provide free soil testing and plant disease diagnosis services to farmers.

Moga district is among the aspirational districts of the country and this clinic equipped with modern equipment is a part of development by NITI Aayog in the area.

The clinic has been set up with a total cost of Rs. 1 crore 25 lakh. The latest machine here can analyze soil samples and provide detailed reports on nutrient content, pH levels, and other parameters.

The clinic will also have a plant pathologist doctor who will examine diseased plant samples and provide advice to farmers on how to manage diseases and pests. The farmers will be able to get their soil tested and receive expert advice on how to improve its fertility, thereby increasing their yields and incomes. The clinic will be inaugurated by Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian on July 8.

With the financial assistance from the NITI Aayog, the state’s first plant clinic-cum-soil testing laboratory has been set up in Moga. Cabinet Minister Gurmeet Singh Khudian will inaugurate it on Monday. The clinic, set up at a cost of Rs 1.25 crore, will provide free soil testing and plant disease diagnosis services to farmers.

DC Kulwant Singh has said the clinic has modern equipment, including an ICP-OES machine, which can analyse soil samples and provide detailed reports on nutrient content, pH levels, and other parameters.

With this clinic, farmers will be able to get their soil tested and receive expert advice on how to improve its fertility, thereby increasing their yields and incomes.

While giving this information, Deputy Commissioner Kulwant Singh said that the clinic was equipped with modern equipment, including an ICP-OES machine, which can analyze soil samples and provide detailed reports on nutrient content, pH levels, and other parameters.

DC said that this project has been made possible with the efforts of the Punjab Government and support of the central government’s scheme, and will benefit farmers in the region.
