India will take on New Zealand in the first semifinal of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup, at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai today. This is the second time that the two teams will be facing off each other in a World Cup semi-final.
The last one was in 2019. India had secured an impressive 302-run triumph against Sri Lanka earlier in the tournament.
At the Wankhede Stadium, batters enjoy the best of batting-friendly conditions in the afternoon but the seamers come to the fore in the second innings under the floodlights as they get plenty of lateral movement in the later part of the match .
So winning the toss will be vital for both teams. In the second Semi-final, Australia will lock horns with South Africa at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Thursday.
