The flood situation of Assam worsened further in the past 24 hours, with seven deaths, taking the flood-induced fatality to 66.
The casualties were reported from Sonitpur (1), Barpeta (2), Golaghat (1) and Morigaon (3) districts.
According to ASDMA, the floods have affected around 36 lakh people in 26 districts.
Flood waters have also inundated 153 forest camps in Kaziranga National Park, 12 in Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary and 19 in Orang National park.
