At least 11 people were killed and five were injured when a pickup vehicle van overturned in Gudha Gaurji police station area of Jhunjhunu district this afternoon. The people in the pickup vehicle were returning from Lohargal to Heeron Ki Dhani of Tan Badau Panchayat.
District Superintendent of Police Pradeep Mohan Sharma told the media that the accident took place when the pickup vehicle went out of control and overturned after hitting the tractor trolley which was parked on the side of the road. He said that all the deceased are members of the same family. He said that the seriously injured have been sent to Sawaiman Singh Hospital in Jaipur. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot has expressed condolences to the families of the deceased. In a tweet message, he wished speedy recovery to those injured in the accident.
