Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio has welcomed Centre’s move to reduced Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) in the state. In a tweet, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio expressed gratitude the Government of India under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for reducing disturbed areas under AFSPA in the states of Nagaland, Assam & Manipur.
Mr Rio said this is a significant development towards bringing stability, security and prosperity to the North East region.
