Addressing BRICS Summit PM Modi says India’s digital economy to cross $1 tr mark by 2025

Addressing at the BRICS Business Forum virtually this evening, Mr Modi said, by 2025 India’s digital sectors value will cross one trillion dollar valuation. He said, India’s success is based on, technology-laid growth with innovation and startups, even during COVID-19, the government emphasised on Ease of Living, building infrastructure with PM GatiShakti and digital transformation and digital economy. The Prime Minister said, 

to deal with the economic problems arising out of the pandemic, India has adopted the mantra of Reform, Perform and Transform. He said, the results of this approach are evident from the performance of the Indian economy. Mr Modi said, this year India is expecting 7.5 per cent growth, which makes it the fastest growing major economy. He said, in New India, transformative changes are taking place in every sector. The Prime Minister said, BRICS was established with the belief that this group of emerging economies could emerge as engines of global growth. He said, today, when the world is focusing on post covid recovery, the role of BRICS countries will be very important.
